Inness Hallam, a 19 year old producer based in Leeds UK has released ‘Topsy-Turvy’, the first single from his forthcoming debut EP ‘The Winter Trepidation’ due to be released this summer.
The track features Skinner, an electronic artist and singer who works on a range of styles in the electronic spectrum. She has worked with many producers including Krrum and has previously played Reading & Leeds festival.
The song is an upbeat disco-house style track with powerful and catchy vocals and finished with groove-driving production.
Inness Hallam’s debut single ‘Fly’ along with b-side ‘Perfect’ was released in August last year, and he produces electronic music in the future-bass, house, disco and funk styles.
Skinner said: “The idea behind the lyrics was capturing the feeling of knowing you want to be with someone, but not knowing where they’re at.
She continued: “That confusing state at the beginning of a relationship when you sometimes don’t know where you stand and not knowing whether to be looking at other people or not.”
At just 19, Inness is now a multi-instrumentalist producer who was originally from Liverpool, and shows true natural talent, reflected in this future-bass and minimal inspired release. First learning drums at a young age, Inness later became interested in producing music and crafted his abilities by editing, reworking and remixing other tracks. Exploiting his rhythmic abilities, he’s become adept at intertwining the perfect beats with a refreshing blend of sounds to create up-beat and groove driven tracks, drawing influence from the likes of Mura Masa, Jamie xx and Daktyl.
