North Carolina native Ryan Lindberg creates music under the Koresma alias. The artist creates a blend of chilled electro-acoustic music centred around a strong drum groove. Living in the mountains of Asheville, he draws inspiration from landscapes and their influence on sounds.
He’s linked with singer Alaska Reid to bring us his latest offering with the single Free, lifted from North, the third release of a four part album series based on the theme of a compass.
Commenting on the track, he offers, “Free channels inspiration from my grandfather who grew up in the Faroe Islands. He told me stories of the amazing land, how they climbed cliffs to get bird eggs, and would go fishing out at see. Free aims to capture this feeling of adventure and openness in a song.”
He continues, “The track features a hauntingly beautiful vocal from the super talented Alaska Reid that makes me the think of the cool ocean breeze. The sonic landscape is made up of airy synthesisers, soulful electric guitar, and crisp drums.”
Free offers a blissful sonic atmosphere driven by a laid back beat with a delicate texture crafted by soft instrumentation. Perfectly twanging lead guitar work compliments Reid’s ambient vocal work on this dreamy electro pop piece.
