Yesterday Foals showcased the short film ‘Crème Anglaise’ with behind the scenes footage of the making of ‘What Went Down’ foals new album to be released later this month. Most notably, the Kit Monteith-directed film includes two new Foals tracks, of which both appear in the full-length video.
In certain clips Frontman Yannis Philippakis can be seen sat in a dingy room using a type writer and in typical Yannis form shooting film with an SLR camera, there are lots of shots of wine, a baby doll hanging off a basketball net and more, it is reminiscent of a holiday on a budget with a recording session in the middle.
The film will be available on the deluxe version of the band’s forthcoming album What Went Down, out August 28th on Warner Bros. Records.
