Azu Tiwaline; it’s a new name for a new spirit. The one of a producer willing to find a new sound in her origins which take root in the Sahara and El Djerid region in the south of Tunisia. A sound from the desert, drawing on berberian and saharan trance music that connects human beings with nature.
Azu Tiwaline’s music dives the auditor into a soft but deep introspection. Her music is meant to be lived more than to be heard, which envelops the listener in a halo of sonic mysticism. Unwinding the connections between berberian music, dub culture and techno hypnosis, the artist invites us to focus our senses on emotions. She knows how to use the light and the unseen, pure feelings and mystery, to create a polyrhythmic chiaroscuro whose contours are revealed as we listen.
