Heavily influenced by his philosophical questioning, Medasin enters the world of electronic music production from his own angle. The Dallas native is a true embodiment of the post-genre era, well-known for his experimentation and exploration of various sound palettes.
In 2018, Medasin released his debut project Irene which captivated listeners with its refreshingly unique tracks that quickly landed a number one spot on the iTunes Electronic chart. Over the years, he has garnered a large following through his original tracks and high profile remixes – a testament to his talent and versatility as an artist. Although Medasin claims his favourite place to be is in the studio, he frequently travels the world to perform at many shows and festivals including Electric Forest, Hard Summer, EDC, and many others.
Medasin’s latest album RIPPLS, which dropped March 6th, sets a promise of being another unique stride in electronic music for the producer. Featuring collaborators such as Cautious Clay and Duckwrth, RIPPLS is an audiovisual journey through a lush, video-game-esque universe.
With the arrival of Medasin’s sophomore album RIPPLS, it marks a step forward for this young producer. In the time since his debut album Irene, the artist has taken the time to evolve and refine his style. He found himself attracted to textured art and began painting himself. This is partly where the album name came from. Medasin embraces a more mature crossover sound for the album signifying a step forward for his project.
The focus track sees Medasin enlist the vocal talents of Odesza collaborator Naomi Wild on Everytime. An electro pop piece which sees Wild deliver her trademark style of delicate vocals and reflective lyrics blended with Medasin’s precisely rhythmic synth lines and laid back beats.
