Mick Jagger and Martin Scorsese have teamed up once again to work on a TV series about a New York record industry executive in the 1970s. The show, called ‘Vinyl’, is 6 episodes into production and features an impressive cast. Jagger, 72, tweeted, ‘Popped by the set of our @HBO series in Brooklyn. All going well. Working on episode 6 now!’

‘Vinyl’ will star Bobby Cannavale of ‘Boardwalk Empire’ as record boss Richie Finestra of fictitious American Century Records. The show will also star Jagger’s son James, portraying punk rock singer Kip Stevens of the band Nasty Bits. Ray Romano is also involved as promo guy Zak Yankovic.
Scorsese and Jagger previously worked on the 2006 documentary ‘Shine A Light’. The documentary captured The Rolling Stones in New York’s Beacon Theatre in an intimately shot performance which was even attended by President Bill Clinton.
