UK multi-instrumentalist and producer re:tract brings us his latest release with Immutable, once again linking with Martha Phillips as a collaborating artist.
By setting no limitations in style or instrumentation and by embracing a human, emotional discourse within his electronic soundscapes, re:tract crafts dense, honest and often heart wrenching musical worlds to lose yourself in. With a sound that incorporates elements of downtempo, chillwave and trip-hop and coupled with inspiring visual concepts and content, his previous tracks have gained support from BBC Introducing, Huw Stephens and Mary-Anne Hobbs.
On Immutable, the artist weaves a delicate atmosphere of electro-acoustic instrumentation taking its cues from the likes of Bonobo and Emancipator. Sweeping vocal lines, blurred to Holy Other-esque levels of abstract quality, provide the emotive calling on this intricate downtempo piece.
