AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd has been arrested again just days after being sentenced to home detention for threatening to have a man killed and possession of narcotics.
Australian news outlet Noise 11 has reported that Rudd, 61, ‘was arrested on Saturday night for getting a ‘whole lotta Rosie’ after having a party in his house while on home detention with prostitutes. The 61-year old drummer was arrested at his home in Tauranga. Prostitutes were said to be at the house but how this relates to the terms of Rudd’s current home detention sentence is uncertain.’ The resulting arrest is supposedly related to the drummer allegedly consuming alcohol with the prostitutes at the party.
Rudd’s lawyer, Chris Truck stated ‘he has been arrested and will be appearing on Monday at 10:00 (22:00 GMT Sunday) in the Tauranga District Court. That’s all I can say for now and that’s all I am telling everyone who is calling.’
If Rudd is found to have breached the terms of his home confinement he will likely find himself back in jail after being told by Judge Thomas Ingram at this sentencing ‘I stone cold guarantee that’s where you’ll end up. The temptations of the rock star lifestyle have caused your downfall here.’
Rudd can be heard on AC/DC’s latest album Rock or Bust, however he has been unable to tour with the band due to his initial arrest. He was replaced by drummer Chris Slade for the tour.
