Following the release of his single Headspin, American songsmith Alex Siegel returns with the new track Daydreaming Pilot. The 28 year old multi-instrumentalist draws inspiration from an array of styles such as jazz, folk, pop, and hip-hop to craft his delicate sound of lo-fi indie pop. Blending airy soundscapes with subtly driving rhythms, Alex lays down warm falsetto harmonies o create his dreamy sound.
Having spent the last year working in music studios in LA and touring with various artists such as Vieux Farka Touré and Nine Pound Shadow, he recently co-wrote indie soul band Amo Amo’s debut album, produced by Jim James of My Morning Jacket. His latest effort is an intricate, laid back affair equally suited to summer drives as it is to providing solace in the depths of winter.
