Istanbul based electronic musician Cihangir Aslan recently dropped an album of dark atmospheric compositions. The artist originally studied jazz guitar before turing his hand to production and sound engineering to craft his own soundscapes.
The opening track from the album Roots is the mesmerising sonic journey Ritüel. Equally bass driven and delicately textured, his Eastern influences are clear in the melodic progression. Plucking delayed guitar work intricately peppers the deep droning instrumentation and marching beats, perfectly balancing ambience and punch on this composition.
