Los Angeles based duo Loud Forest are comprised of partners in both music and marriage Bernard and Rachel Chadwick. They’ve just released the video for the single Level Ground, blending their distinctly different artistic approaches to music. The lyrics were written in “reference to the space we put between each other depending on our success and failure. But there is no space. We sit in kinship on the same ground; rising, falling, clarity, confusion, grace, repeat”, and saw the pair build on their DIY ethos by writing, recording and producing the track themselves.
Level Ground is a superbly catchy indie work capitalising on both Bernard and Rachel’s perfectly matched vocal styles, driven by upbeat pop writing and instrumentation. The single is accompanied by a music video from director Ric Serena.
