New York based trio Meyru bring us their fresh taste on nostalgic indie rock with the new single Running Day Dreams lifted from their upcoming album Good To See You, set to drop in the summer. Linking up with Brooklyn based veteran producer Tyler Brown, the band spent a month in the mountains of North Carolina where they recorded their debut album in the basement of an abandoned church. On mastering duties, they enlisted Dan Millice who has credits on releases from the likes of A$AP Rocky, Al Green and 50 Cent.
With Running Day Dreams, the group add new vigour to the early 2000s grungey indie rock sound. Meshing writing inspiration from The Cars and drawing on the post-rock tone of Interpol, they deliver a crunchy lullaby-esque sound.
