UK indie rock duo Sonny Elliot is made up of brothers Chris and Joe Peden, formerly of Wild Smiles. After taking a brief hiatus after Chris was involved and injured in a tragic plane accident, they reunited to work on their self-produced debut EP Under Covers at the start of 2018.
Lifted from their follow-up EP Broken Glasses, comes the final single Misguided Angel, a delicate and reflective work of downtempo indie rock, channeling the sounds of Radiohead and Cigarettes After Sex.
Commenting on the track, they’ve said, “It doesn’t take much for life to knock you off your pedestal if ego and temptation get in the way. ‘Misguided Angel’ is a song for someone who has lost their way in the world and because of this on the outside appears broken to those around them. Their true self is still deep inside; it just needs to find a way back to the surface. No matter how lost they get, I wanted them to know I will always see the good within them.”
