To those unfamiliar, No Hot Ashes are a four-piece hailing from Stockport; They are a part of the new breed of bands making some real noise in Manchester, supporting the likes of Spring King & Blossoms on their previous UK tours as well as selling out headline shows, they will be a force majeure in 2017.
The new offering and first track in 2017 from No Hot Ashes, ‘Bellyaches’ is a belter, a cacophony of unadulterated pop funk, following the same path as the Stockport bands previous releases it does not disappoint from beginning to the end, the single oozes James brown like guitar riffs and its really apparent who their influences are in this single. The voice of the band’s lead singer, Isaac Taylor, resonates throughout the track.
In its entirety this single is really special and worthy of so much attention, having already been booked for major festivals such as Kendal Calling, Y Not Festival, Neighbourhood Festival, Bingley Music Live and Tramlines its looking like 2017 is going to be a great year for No Hot Ashes
